Kim Paciotti is a professional dog trainer, certified through the Certification Council For Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Kim is also a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), as a professional member. She is a graduate of Highland Canine Training in both on and off leash obedience. Kim continued her education at Animal Behavior College for training rescue and shelter dogs. She holds a dog CPR and first aid certification from Pet Tech. Being an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator she knows what is expected to pass this testing. Kim is also an approved evaluator for the National Therapy Dog Registry.
Before launching Training Canines, LLC, Kim was a professional chef for over twenty years. Operating her own business and working at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte. As the economy turned sour, and her desire to “get out of the kitchen” it led her to pursue a long held passion of training dogs. Knowing this was definitely what she wanted to do, she did what it took to make it a reality. Managing kitchens, and catering events for over thousands of people, has given Kim sharp analytical and problem solving skills. These skills and abilities are the backdrop for Kim being such an effective dog trainer.
Kim lives in Statesville, NC with her husband David, and their two English Mastiffs, Sammy and Bernard.
